Acts of Wanton Wonder

HVM is delighted to have been included in the qualitative research framework for Hull 2017 UK City of Culture. As part of the framework we saw the Land of Green Ginger's performance of the 7 Alleys in order to speak to the audience about it. A mysterious combination of urban myth and local history, it brought acrobatics, theatrical performance, pyrotechnics and fire to East Park.

We spent the following week conducting walk & talk focus groups and depth interviews with people who live in and near East Hull, finding out more about what the performance evoked for them and how it has affected their view of the area. Our report is in its final stages and will inform future Acts of Wanton Wonder from the Green Ginger Fellowship.
